The Perfect Joy of St. Francis of Assisi - Cheerful hearts and spirits uplifted!
The meeting of The Immaculate Conception Fraternity, Montreal, on February 3, 2019, turned into a very memorable and particularly unique gathering, a meeting worth noting and writing about. With the usual plan of following the rigorous agenda of initial formation, mass, liturgy, announcements, refreshments, ongoing formation and discussions this month on topic of Poverty, the meeting turned into a very relaxed and party-like mood because the agenda went right out the window. There were only a few members present, 4 in fact, since many couldn’t come because of weather and illness. Fortunately Father Morin was there to celebrate Holy Mass to the few privileged. This was followed by table discussion about the terrible state of the world only to be reminded by Father Morin that Jesus Christ is there, here and now and He is our only hope in the renewal in all that is good because of The Resurrection. Like the disciples on the road to Emmaus, the four of us said same words, “were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us” about Father Morin. We thank Father Morin for opening our eyes and the Scriptures. With cheerful hearts and spirits uplifted, we will not forget this meeting any time soon.  Read the full newsletter article below
